My Son Is Born

So leading up to Nathan's birth were a couple weeks of heavy anticipation, hoping that he would come out before Scott had to go back to Iraq. We made a few trips to the hospital, all false alarms, and eventually went in to get induced on the 4th of December.
After many hours of labor, we found out that Nathan was "sunny-side up" so we decided that we would have a C-section. Less than an hour later, Nathan was born. 7 pounds, 14 ounces, 20 inches long, @6:42pm. The other cool thing was that this was happening...
In a bitter beat down of division rivals, ou r San Diego Chargers laid a vicious whooping on the Raiders, right at the time that Nathan was born. I was so enamored with my new son, that I didn't even know that it was happening only a few miles away. What a great story. Check out Nathan as I'm writing this blog.
Here's another one of the Charger boys!
Little Nathan is definitely going to CHOSE to be a Charger fan since he was born in San Diego, during a game, against the Raiders.
Stephanie is going to get a Darren Sproles Jersey soon. She likes Sproles because he's scrappy and quick, but also because the Jersey is hard to find.
Anyway, back to Nathan. He is the love of our lives right now, yet we are still trying to keep each other first. It's just a little harder to focus on each other when we're still learning the ropes of first-time parenthood. One last comment on our little boy; if you've never been a parent before, I hope that you have the same experience that we have so far. Here are some books I can recommend:
Babywise, The Expectant Father, What to Expect When You're Expecting
Don't let people tell you how to raise your kids, but don't let good advise get away because of your pride. I just hope that you actually get good advice as we have! GO CHARGERS GO!
